In the automotive industry since 1978, Mike Schmitz formed the Mike Schmitz Automotive Group in Dothan.  All of the Schmitz dealerships have won numerous factory awards for sales and customer satisfaction, having sold as many as 3,000 new and used vehicles annually. In 2008, Mike Schmitz was Alabama's recipient of what is considered the auto industry's most prestigious retail honor, the TIME Quality Dealer Award.  Mercedes-Benz of Dothan received the Best of the Best Dealership Recognition Award from Mercedes-Benz.  This is the top award a Mercedes-Benz dealership can receive.  Most recently, Mike Schmitz Automotive Group was named Alabama's Small Business of the Year for 2022.

Adam Tindell has been with Mercedes-Benz of Dothan for 6 years now and has been awarded Best Car Salesman of the Wiregrass for 4 years in a row. When he's not providing clients with an exceptional car buying experience he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, and his 2 daughters.

Tina started with our company 21 years ago, fresh out of high school.  She started out answering the phones and worked her way up in the company performing every job in the accounting office.  She is Master Certified by Mercedes-Benz.

Tina enjoys working in her yard, fishing and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandbabies.  She also loves to cook, which benefits us because she often brings food to work for everyone.

Wanda has 16 years experience with our company and is Star Certified by Mercedes-Benz, as well as being certified by Hyundai and Mazda with our sister dealerships.

Wanda is married to Dennis Stewart who also works with us.  Together, Wanda and Dennis have 8 children, 17 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.  When they are not at work or with their family, Wanda and Dennis will likely be on the water somewhere fishing.

Wanda is currently working with the development of the first public park in their hometown of Black.

Dennis is responsible for the daily operation of all the facilities in the Mike Schmitz Automotive group, four dealerships and the body shop.

He is married to Wanda Stewart, who also works with us, and together they have 8 children, 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  When not working or spending time with his family, Dennis enjoys fishing and farming. He donates the extra food he catches and grows to help others.
